Smart from the Start - An Approach for Better Siting of Clean Energy Facilities

Energy siting decisions often affect birds and habitat. But rerouting, modifying or moving proposed sites is much easier if you get into the planning process early on. Our first in a series of webinars on energy siting starts with "Smart from the Start," with principles and tools for good siting and discussion of their application on federal lands and waters. These same principles serve as a model for siting on non-federal lands as well.
