Landscape-scale Planning: Two Initiatives

Garry Geroge of Audubon California discusses the massive Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan, a 22.5 million acre area that includes several globally Important Bird Areas.  He highlights the ups and downs and the role Audubon chapters play in that process of landscape planning for solar and wind development in California.  Erin Lieberman of Defenders of Wildlife takes the discussion further with her experience with similar efforts in other parts of the country.
