Avian Protection Plan (APP) Guidelines

This document was jointly prepared by the Edison Electric Institute Avian Power Line Interaction Committee and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. It is intended to provide a “tool box” of guiding principles and examples to help electric utilities develop their own personalized Avian Protection Plans (APPs). The overarching goal of all APPs is to reduce avian risks and mortalities posed by electric utility facilities. (PDF, 2470 KB)
