Research on the Ecological Impacts of Wind Energy in the Great Lakes Region
Submitted by Evie Pless on 09.03.2014
Although wind energy has many environmental advantages over carbon-based energy, turbines can have negative ecological impacts. The goals of the Great Lakes Wind Collaborative State of the Science Workshop, and of this short report, is to assess the current state of knowledge of wind energy impacts in the Great Lakes regions, evaluate ways to improve decision-making, and identify future research needs.
