Offshore Wind in Mid-Atlantic Environmental Assessment

In accordance with regulations, the Bureau of Ocean Management (BOEM) has prepared this environmental assessment of potential wind energy developments offshore of New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. The goal is to determine if these projects would have a significant effect on the environment and whether an environmental impact statement (EIS) would need to be prepared before issuances of leases or approval of site assessment plans.
